Apple Custard Pie

Ingredients: |

5 to 6 medium apples, peeled and quartered (Ida Reds, Jonathans, Romes, Golden Delicious, Winesaps)
1 cup sugar or more
2 Tbs. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs |
| Directions: |
- Mix dry ingredients
- Beat eggs in cup and fill with cream or milk (whole milk)
- Place quartered apple to form a circle in pastry lined pie plate until nicely filled
- Cover with sugar mixture and then pour in the milk and egg mixture

- Set oven to 450 degrees and start preheating, but put the pie into the oven before the preheating is finishedwhen the temperature reaches 350 degrees and continue until apples and custard are done
- Note: A fast cooking apple is not as suitable
