Apple Sauce

Servings: Ingredients:
1/2 bushel of apples, Jonathan works best, peeled and sliced
2 cups apple cider (or water if cider is not available)
2 lb. of sugar (or to taste)
3-4 Tbs. of Cinnamon (or to taste)
Directions:
  • Put apples in a large cooking pot
  • Add the apple cider, start on high heat
  • Cook slowly over medium heat with the lid tipped to let steam escape
  • Stir frequently
  • Add sugar and cinnamon
  • Cook until apples are soft and mixed well but still chunky
  • Freeze in plastic containers
