Peach Upside Down Cake

Servings: Ingredients:
1 qt. home canned peach halves
1 stick of butter
2 cups of brown sugar
3/4 box yellow cake mix
Maraschino cherries
Directions:
  • Melt stick of butter in a 10x4 baking pan
  • Place peaches with cut side up-press down into butter
  • Place maraschino cherries between peach halves
  • Follow directions on box of cake mix
  • Pour on top of peaches
  • Bake at 350 degrees on the middle rack
  • Bake until golden brown, test with a toothpick
  • Remove from oven, let it rest for 5 minutes
  • Place large dish or cookie sheet on top of cake pan and flip quickly
  • Lift baking pan slowly
  • Let cool
