Peach Upside Down Cake

Servings: Ingredients:

1 qt. home canned peach halves
1 stick of butter
2 cups of brown sugar
3/4 box yellow cake mix
Maraschino cherries

Directions:

Melt stick of butter in a 10x4 baking pan
Place peaches with cut side up-press down into butter
Place maraschino cherries between peach halves
Follow directions on box of cake mix
Pour on top of peaches
Bake at 350 degrees on the middle rack
Bake until golden brown, test with a toothpick
Remove from oven, let it rest for 5 minutes
Place large dish or cookie sheet on top of cake pan and flip quickly
Lift baking pan slowly
Let cool
